Read the time line. Most of the items on the time line were significant news stories at the time that they happened. After reading the time line answer the questions below and choose one item from the time line and research the event and create an oral news report to present to class the second Social Studies class after the break.  You will have 1 period after the break to work on it.  As well, you may work with a partner and may video tape it. 

Success Criteria for the news report:
The report answers the 5 Ws and H
The report includes photos or visuals related to the story
The report is well rehearsed
The reporters speak clearly to the audience.
